Professor Li Chunli of the Aichi University delivered lecture on new energy vehicles

Invited by the BUAA SEM, Professor Li Chunli of Japanese Aichi University Economy Department, Massachusetts Institute of International Automotive Research Program (IMVP) researcher, delivered a lecture on Strategic Positioning of New Energy Vehicles and Product Architecture Analysis in our school on 29th March. The lecture was hosted by professor Ouyangtaohua, the director of BUAA Chinese enterprise case research center.

During the lecture , Professor Li Chunli showed the world's major automobile manufacturers’ investment on new energy vehicles and national policy situation with detailed information . He pointed out that although new energy vehicles industry was a promising area, it faced "four bottleneck" as high cost of battery, the difficulty of technology breakthrough, inadequate resources and weak social infrastructure. Then professor Li compared the competitive advantage of USA, Japan and China in automobile industry by product architecture theory. and gave constructive advice on the development of Chinese new energy vehicles. The audience applauded warmly for his concrete and splendid lecture.

After the speech, Professor Li Chunli answered the questions about new energy vehicles and shed light on the teachers’ confusion in academic research. Finally, Professor Ouyangtaohua gave a summary of the speech and encouraged us to build cutting-edge management theory from enterprise practice.
