At 3:00 pm on November 24, 2011, SEM invited Dr. Wu Changxu to give us a report about Human Performance Modeling and its Application. Teachers and students who are interested in this topic all took active participation in the report, filling the classroom. The report mainly discusses how to build an engineering model of the human cognitive system and then quantify human performance and mental workload in transcription typing, psychological refractory period (PRP), visual manual tracking and driving using several computational methods including queuing network modeling methods.

The audiences are paying full concentration on the subject during the report, not only because of the difficulty and the expertise the topic involves, but the attraction of the narrative of Dr. Wu.

In the second half of the report, questions are asked and have been replied patiently. We all learn a lot as well as having much fun.
