On 13rd April, 2018, we welcome Assistant Prof. Dun Jia to our Bi-Week Applied Economics Colloquium.Dr.Jia delivered a talk titled as Online Borders of the U.S. Dollar: Price Stickiness and Exchange Rate Sensitivities. Dr. Dun Jia is an assistant professoratHanqing Advanced Institute of Economics and Finance, Renmin University ofChina. His research interests lie both in theoretical and empirical Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Computational Economics, Macro-based Asset Pricing, and Chinese Economy. The Colloquium is coordinated by Assistant Prof. Chunan Wang from School of Economics and Management at Beihang University.
During the lecture, over 20 scholars and students from the SEM were involved in discussion.They raised questions about the paper’s methodological framework and empirical strategies,which provokes further thinking on the issues from both parties.
