On 9 November, 2018, we welcomed the speaker Dr. Mofei Zhao from Capital University of Economics and Business. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from UCLA. His research focuses on the application of economic theory and gametheory in industrial organization, public economics, and finance. In the seminar, Dr. Zhao presented his last research “Fickle for Survival: Bayesian Persuasion by a Strategic Regime”, which studies a regime change model where many citizens, who are imperfectly informed about the regime's strength, decidewhether to participate in a revolt.

More than 20 teachers and studentsof the School of Economics and Management have participated in the seminar and discussed the study with Dr. Zhao. We are looking forward to the Bi-Week Applied Economics Colloquium next week.
