September 15th is the first day that freshmen of 2010 went to Shahe Campus. New students from the whole country, Volunteers of older students and the teachers going to welcome new arrivals met together on the new campus, opening a new journey.
At 6:30a.m. volunteers and little instructors from Economics and Management College got together in the new main building punctually and then went to the new campus to welcome freshmen. At 8:00a.m, new students came to report constantly. After attendance, payment and getting college uniforms and campus card, every freshman settled down in the bedroom under the guidance of volunteers. Volunteers carried the luggage for junior enthusiastically, enjoyed their learning experience and answered parents’ various questions patiently and in detail, which made students feel the care of the Institute and won the prizes from the parents.
Around 8:30a.m. President of Beihang SEM Hui-Wen Wang, vice President Chen Xiangdong, the Court Party Yao WeiLong and deputy Secretary of the Communist Youth League Kan Pokui with the company of the counselor-2010 Guo Lei went to the welcome location to greet the volunteers kindly, speaking highly of their significance and attitude of their work.
What’s more, Hui-Wen Wang, deputy Secretary of the President and Yao WeiLong came to the dormitories to ask freshmen whether they adapted or not, learnt new students’ evaluation of the work on the welcome and answered parents’ questions about the schooling running and the environment surrounding Shahe Campus enthusiastically.
At 5:00 pm, the Party Secretary Liu Zhixin also took time to pay a visit to the new dormitory to greet the new students. He communicated with the 2010 students about the problems of life and study kindly, delivered his sincere regards to the parents who support the work of schools and colleges and encouraged the students to adapt to the new life as soon as possible, make great achievement in the new environment and lay a solid foundation of major knowledge. The parents gave full recognition to the work of school and college, and the students also said that they will live up to the expectations of school leaders. Deputy party secretary Yao Wenlong and the director of Students Career and Development Center Mouhui accompanied Party Secretary Liu Zhixin to inspect.
At 7 pm., the volunteers finished a day’s work of welcoming new arrivals and left Shahe Campus tiredly but happily.
