Abstract:High-dimensional high-order arrays, i.e., values aligned in large scale tensors along with three or more ways, commonly arise from a wide range of modern applications due to revolutionary developments in science and technology. In this talk, we give an introduction to recent advances of high-dimensional high-order statistical analysis. We will go through basic tensor algebra and overview some basic statistical tensor problems. These problems exhibit distinct aspects in both statistics and computation compared to the traditional low-dimensional or low-order problems.
