International Technological Cooperation Base for City Safety Operation and Emergency Rescue

The International Technological Cooperation Base for City Safety Operation and Emergency Rescue was affirmed by Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission in February 2014. The construction of International Technological Cooperation Base is in accordance with the development of a technologically-empowered Beijing. It is also an important supporting platform and center for international research for solving key scientific problems regarding the city safety operation and emergency rescue of big cities and megacities. In recent years, the Base has conducted comprehensive exchange and cooperation with renowned universities and research institutes in the United States, Canada, The United Kingdom, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong (China). It has delivered useful outcomes in city safety operation researches, city emergency rescue technology, and systematic platform building and policy consultancy. Findings of scientific research cooperation have been widely adopted by National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine as well as Beijing Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Health, Beijing Municipal Committee of Transport in their practical work. These findings have substantially benefitted the whole society.
