The 13th Applied Economics Colloquium: Dr. Qunzi Zhang
On 25th May, 2018, we welcome AssistantProf. Qunzi Zhang to our Bi-Week Applied Economics Colloquium. Dr.Zhang delivered a talk titled as AverageSkewness Matters. She obtained her Ph.D. in Finance from Swiss FinanceInstitute and University of Lausanne. She conducts research in the area ofempirical asset pricing, with a special focus on return non-normality andreturn predictability. The Colloquium is coordinated by Associate Prof. XueyingYu from School of Economics and Management at Beihang University.
During the lecture, over 20scholars and students from the SEM were involved in discussion. They raised questionsabout the paper’s methodological framework and empirical strategies, whichprovokes further thinking on the issues from both parties.
