Zhao Shangmei is a professor at the School of Economics and Management at Beihang University, where she leads the finance discipline and serves as a member of the academic degree committee. Her primary areas of teaching and research include monetary finance theory and policy, financial engineering and security, insurance participation in technological innovation and public risk management, and the structured management of household savings. Several of her research projects have received both general and key funding from prominent organizations, including the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Planning Fund, the Ministry of Education’s Social Science Planning Fund, and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.

She has published over a hundred academic papers in relevant domestic and international journals and authored more than ten academic monographs and textbooks. Her research achievements have garnered national and provincial awards, including first, second, and third prizes from national societies, as well as excellent teaching achievement awards at the university level. Looking ahead, she aspires to engage in international cooperation in the areas of financial stability, financial security, and green finance.
