Jing (Elaine) Chen is an Associate Professor at School of Economics, Beihang University. She received her doctoral degree in National University of Singapore. Her research interest is the managerial issues of organizational transformation and business innovation in the context of digital enablement. She has conducted in-depth case studies on over 20 state-owned enterprises, commercial organizations, rural villages, and nonprofit organizations in China and Malaysia. She has published her work in Information and Management, International Journal of Information and Management, and several international conferences. Dr. Chen is an associate professor at the School of Economics and Management, Beihang University. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from the National University of Singapore and has served as the Deputy Director of the Case Research Center of Beihang University and a visiting scholar at the UNSW Business School, Australia. Dr. Chen primarily adopts case study as her main research method, focusing on topics such as the digital transformation and business innovation of traditional enterprises. She has conducted in-depth research in over 20 companies and organizations, including Haier Group, Wanhua Group, and so on. She has led or participated in more than ten national and provincial research projects. Her research findings have been published in prestigious domestic and international academic journals and conferences, such as Information & Management, Information Technology & People, and the International Journal of Information Management. She has also published a Chinese monograph on case studies and has received a provincial-level award for outstanding achievements in social science. Dr. Chen has also published a series of teaching cases, including two Ivey teaching cases, nine cases awarded the "National Top 100 Excellent Management Cases", and many more. She has also received various teaching awards, including the Special Prize for the National University Experimental Teaching Case Competition and the First Prize for Excellent Teaching Achievements of Beihang University.
