Areas of Expertise

Dr. Fang Weiguo specializes in Management Science and Engineering. His current research focuses on supply chain management modeling issues in areas such as supply chain finance, capital-constrained newsvendor model with risk-averse preference, service and pricing strategies in dual-channel supply chains, information asymmetry in supply chain management, and optimal inventory management with financing. His other research interests include the intersection of management science and systems engineering such as the optimization and decision-making of complex management system, organization design, and cost-effectiveness analysis.

Professional Activities

Dr. Fang Weiguo has published over80 academic papers. His articles have appeared in international journals such asAnnuals of Operations Research, International Journal of Production Economics,Information Sciences, Computers & Industrial Engineering,InternationalJournal of Fuzzy Systems, and Chinese journals such as Journal of Management Sciences in China, Systems Engineering - Theory & Practice. He has presided overmore than 10projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (70101004): Research on organization design theory and simulation in uncertain environment; Aeronautical Science Foundation of China (03J55051): Study on the correlation between cost and effectiveness of military aircraft based on lifetime technical characteristics.
