On November 22nd,Forbes China announced its ‘2023Forbes China100 Outstanding Overseas Returnees’. Prof Liu Lin, head of the Department of Digital Marketing, SEM, has been selected to this list for Growth Potential sector.
According to Forbes China, this selection aims to show the leadership and innovative ability of young outstanding overseas returnees in the fields of business, science, and social responsibility, as well as their positive contributions to the development of China, and is toinspire more Chinese youth to become future leaders. The committee evaluated based on two dimensions, "Business" and "Culture" and a total of 100 elite China overseas returnees under 45 were named to the list, 10% of whom are from universities and research institutions.
Professor Liu Lin graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University. He later earned his Ph.D. in Management from the University of Southern California. Following this, he served as an Assistant Professor at the College of Business Administration at the University of Central Florida, before joining the School of Economics and Management (SEM) at Beihang University. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Digital Marketing, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Economy and Technology (Elsevier, Science Press), and Associate Editor of the Journal of Digital Economy (Tsinghua University).
