​Faculty Team From BUAA SEM Attends MBA Core Curriculum Teaching Seminar

To enhance the teaching capabilities of "Accounting" courses in MBA programs nationwide and improve the teaching proficiency of instructors, the 2024 MBA Core Curriculum Teaching Seminar on ‘Accounting’, hosted by the National Graduate Education Steering Committee for Business Administration Degrees and the China Degree and Graduate Education Society, and organized by the International Business School of the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) and the Virtual Teaching and Research Section for Financial Statement Analysis Courses under the Ministry of Education, was held in Beijing on November 8, 2024. Associate Dean Mou Hui, Professor Zhou Ning, and Professor Pan Lixin from the School of Economics and Management participated in this conference.

Professor Zhou Ning delivered a keynote speech titled ‘Case Development for Accounting Education and Multi-purpose Applications: A Perspective on Enhancing Teaching Competence’at the conference. Based on the introduction of the case development team and achievements of the School of Economics and Management at Beihang University, as well as the university's long-term exploration in MBA case teaching, Professor Zhou Ning elaborated on the explorations and insights of the Beihang team and herself in case development, case teaching, curriculum construction, and talent cultivation from four aspects:‘What constitutes excellent case compilation and editing – based on the deconstruction of universally recognized norms’,‘How to excel in case development – based on the analysis of the TSS teaching case development model’,‘How to implement case teaching – based on the cultivation of comprehensive abilities to solve complex problems’, and‘How to integrate multi-purpose applications of a single case – based on diverse expansions in development, teaching, and research’. The teaching reform achievements of the Beihang team in case development and case teaching since 2010 have been highly recognized by experts and teachers attending the conference.
