Bio
Dr. Yilong Han is a Professor at the School of Economics and Management, Beihang University. He received his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore. His interdisciplinary research has long focused on complex engineering and complex operations management, infrastructure governance, smart cities, and related areas. He has been selected for two talent programs, including the Shanghai Chenguang Scholar Program and the Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program of the China Association for Science and Technology. He has led or participated in more than 20 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Fund of China, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the Shanghai Development Research Center, among others.
Dr. Han has published more than 80 academic papers in journals including the Nature Portfolio journals Nature Human Behaviour and Nature Cities, Engineering by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, ASCE flagship journals, and IEEE Transactions journals. Among these publications, 34 SCI/SSCI Q1 papers were published as first author or corresponding author, and six papers have been selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers or Editor’s Choice papers. He currently serves in editorial roles for three leading international journals in engineering management, including Associate Editor of the ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering, Assistant Specialty Editor of the ASCE Journal of Construction Engineering and Management, and Editorial Board Member of IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. He has co-edited one book and contributed to six industry guidelines or books in engineering construction. Two of his policy advisory reports have been adopted at the provincial or ministerial level. He has received several honors and awards, including the Outstanding Research Contribution Award from the International Project Management Association, the inaugural National Outstanding Young Faculty Award in Engineering Management, and the Second Prize for Hospital Science and Technology Innovation from the Chinese Hospital Association.
