Leadership and Organization Management

The Department of Leadership and Organization Management owns eight full-time faculty members, and all of them have got the doctoral degree. Among them, there are two professors (doctoral supervisors), three associate professors, and three assistant professors. Most of the faculty members have the background of studying or research aboard and have established extensive academic collaborations with foreign scholars. Moreover, some faculty members have rich industrial experiences and even take positions of senior management.

The main research areas focus on Organizational behavior, Human Resource Management, Enterprise Strategy Management, Applied Psychology and so on. In the recent years, the department has undertaken ten national projects granted by both the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Humanities and Social Science project by the Ministry of education. Besides, the department also has undertaken several scientific research project supported by enterprise and Beijing government. More than twenty research papers have been published, which can be indexed by SCI or SSCI; and there are also more than one hundred academic papers published on the core journals.

The department undertakes the teaching task for undergraduate, academic graduate, MBA, EMBA, Master of Business Science, as well as abroad students. Moreover, the department has been in charge of more than ten programs issued by BUAA, and has got more than ten teaching achievement prizes. In addition, the department has achieved outstanding performance in the case-studying, e.g., fifteen cases have been selected in the National Hundred Excellent Management Cases; two cases have been selected in Richard Ivey Cases; and one case has been awarded the McFarlan Prize issued by Harvard University. In addition, the department not only pays more attention to improve the students' scientific research ability, but also focuses on the improvement of the students’ practical ability by providing many opportunities and platforms for them.
