On the afternoon of April 24, Prof. Vogel gave us a lecture about Support Learning, which attracted a lot of students and teachers. Prof. Wang Huiwen, Dean of SEM, and Prof. Jia Guozhu , Prof. Fang Weiguo, Dr. Wang Li, Dr. Shan Siqing, Dr. Mou Hui and Dr. Hao Jinxing attended the meeting. Prof. Wang Huiwen warmly welcomed Prof. Vogel.
Prof. Vogel is chair professor of Information Systems in addition to Management Department, Acting Head and is an Association for Information Systems (AIS) Fellow as well as AIS President-elect.
In the lecture, Prof. Vogel showed a number of research successes (and failures) with which he had been personally involved over the past 30 years, addressed aspects of impact and pedagogy as well as institutional direction. Finally, he suggested quite a lot of implications for the future of technology to support learning and directions for future research. We’ve all learned a lot.
