Dr. Mofei Zhao: Ficklefor Survival: Bayesian Persuasion by a Strategic Regime

 

On 9 November, 2018, we welcomed the speaker Dr. Mofei Zhao from CapitalUniversity of Economics and Business. He earned his Ph.D. in economics fromUCLA. His research focuses on the application of economic theory and gametheory in industrial organization, public economics, and finance. In theseminar, Dr. Zhao presented his last research “Fickle for Survival: BayesianPersuasion by a Strategic Regime”, which studies a regime change model wheremany citizens, who are imperfectly informed about the regime's strength, decidewhether to participate in a revolt.

More than 20 teachers and studentsof the School of Economics and Management have participated in the seminar anddiscussed the study with Dr. Zhao. We are looking forward to the Bi-WeekApplied Economics Colloquium next week.
