Prof. H. Michael Zhang Gave a Talk at School of Economics & Management, Beihang University (BUAA)

In the afternoon of July 8th, Professor H. Michael Zhang, from University of California Davis, gave a talk entitled " Dynamic system optimal traffic assignment models: Formulations and solution methods " at School of Economics & Management, Beihang University (BUAA). The seminar was hosted by Professor Hai-Jun Huang, and almost 20 teachers and students, from Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB), North China University of Technology (NCUT) and Beihang University (BUAA), attended this seminar.

Prof. H. Michael Zhang is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California Davis. His current research focuses on applications of systems theory to transportation systems analysis and operations. Specific topics include traffic flow theory, traffic control, transportation network models, and intelligent transportation systems such as the application of wireless communications and grid computing technology to distributed, on-demand traffic management.

Prof. Zhang is an Area Editor of the Journal of Networks and Spatial Economics and Associate Editor of Transportation Research, Part B: Methodological. His awards include an NSF CAREER and an Old Gold fellowship from University of Iowa.
