About the Seminar

This Seminar is designed to introduce issues pertaining to international management. Professor Wu will offer an overview of major issues in cross-cultural communication and how cultural values shape the way we operate in a global village. Audience will also learn issues relating to international human resource management where U.S. staffing policies will be discussed. The Seminar will be conducted in English.

About the Speaker

Dr. Sharon Y. Wu currently works as Assistant Professor of Management at the Phillips School of Business at High Point University and has solid experience teaching various management courses, such as Leadership, International Business, Fundamentals of Management, and Human Resource Management. Her research interests are interpersonal in nature, and include mentoring, cultural differences, business communication, social skills, and emotional intelligence. She also serves as a reviewer for Academy of Management Conference, Southern Management Association Conference, and Organizational Behavior Teaching Conference.

Dr. Wu received her B.S.B in Marketing from University of Minnesota, M.B.A in Finance from Southern Illinois University, and Ph.D. in Business Administration from University of Missouri.
