The 10thApplied Economics Colloquium: Hua Zhong
On 27th April,2018, we welcome Associate Prof. Hua Zhongto our Bi-Week Applied EconomicsColloquium.Prof.Zhongdelivered a talk titled as Planning for a (Less) RainyDay: Evaluating theRegional Welfare Impacts of Water Infrastructure Investment.Prof. Zhong obtained his Ph. D in Agricultural and Resource Economics at theUniversity of Kentucky.His research interests focus in the areas ofenvironmental and natural resourceeconomics, and general equilibrium model. Hiscurrent research examinesregional welfare impacts of water infrastructureinvestment in western U.S. TheColloquium is coordinated by Assistant Prof.Chunan Wang from School of Economicsand Management at Beihang University.
During thelecture, over 20 scholars and students from the SEM were involved indiscussion.They raised questions about the paper’s methodological frameworkand empirical strategies,which provokes further thinking on the issues fromboth parties.
