On June 24 2016, Dr. Dong Liu, Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at Georgia Institute of Technology, gave a speech titled “My Humble and Candid Suggestions for Developing an Effective Research Program”, at an event hosted jointly byCentre forChinese Business Case Research and BUAA Centre for Digital Enablement Research. Approximately 20 participants, including some faculty members and students, attended this event.
Dr. Liu began hisspeechby sharing hisresearch experience and insight, covering topics from qualities constituting a good research program, to the role of learning from multiple sources in research skills improvement. Then, he shared his latest AMR paper onEvent System Theory, introducing the core contents behind this research and sharing anecdotes during the publishing process.
The reaction of participantsto the speech was gratifying. In the following Q&A session, Dr. Liu and the participants actively exchanged ideas relevant to the speech.
